Motivation: Motivation is combining rewards with effort as they work hand in hand. After putting in the effort, a person looks forward to praise and approval to fulfill an internal sense of satisfaction. Acknowledgement from your peers is very rewarding, but this is a short-term fix, and is often hard to find. In the business world competition is fierce, but it brings out the true character and skills of an individual, resulting in greater productivity. A person, who does not welcome competition, usually means that their production is on the decline.
